Fished out of Huron, Ohio yesterday. It was pretty rough waves started 4 to 6 and built up to 8 feet. Ended up with 15 fish, biggest was close to 9 pounds. 40 jets back 110 to 140 back and big divers on a three 115 and 95 and 75 and 85 on the lows at 1.5. They seemed to want it faster then normal for this time of the year 2.2 to 2.4 knots. The purple chicken wing and the cranberry frog took most of the fish.

Fished 4 miles out on a 45 degree heading. Trolling up wind a 250 degree heading. If the lake wasn't so rough probably could have taking some more fish.

If you need up to date info. What you need to do is buy a few good cigars and go down to the Huron Boat Basin and look for Capt. Ron Levitan of Passin Time charters. Give him the cigars and ask whats going on. He'll let you know what to do.

I lucked out and got a dock a few spots down from Capt. Ron in the Huron Basin. He has always been willing to share his locations and methods with me. He puts his clients on the fish, both perch and walleye. A very nice guy and great captain.
He does seem to enjoy cigars. Not sure what brands or quality he smokes but I did get him to lower himself to drinking a Natty Light.

Little Dandy knows Ron pretty well. I met him on the eve of the Walleye Smackdown while having a couple beers with Mike at the boat. Seemed like a heckuva nice guy.
Thanks for the heads-up Lady Bridge...give us a shout on the radio this weekend..."Draggin' Flies" For sure we'll be battling the bumps out there on Saturday, maybe even Friday afternoon and Sunday morning as well.
Still trying to figure out where to launch over there...have been to Walski's and was not impressed in the least bit, but was also referred to Holliday Marina. Keith's boat is a 22'er..and I was wondering if it would be tight fit getting her in there under the bridge?
Suggestions???
Thanks,
BFG

I'm always on 79 and will give you a shout. I hope the winds are not as strong as last weekend. I didn't fish saturday but sure wish I did after seeing some of the catches. I did make it out sunday morning and that wind was a pain and the fish weren't as active.
If your talking about the railroad bridge near the Walski' ramp I know I can go under it without lowering my 8' antennae on my hardtop. I fuel up at Huron Lagoons and never had trouble going under the bridge. I don't ramp my boat but the walleye spots have been just out the Huron River so I would suggest a ramp in Huron. I did help Freebyrd ramp a big new Contender at Walski's and it seemed OK. I'm not familiar with any other ramps.

I should have been more clear...I was wondering if we could launch a 22'er at Walski's...not worried in the least bit about getting her under the bridge.
Sorry about that!
Yes...pray for relatively calm seas...
