Cheeseheads rolled into TBM around 2:30 this afternoon. Before I had a chance to greet them, they were off to the happy walleye grounds.

I really hate to do this guys, but I’m going to have to cancel my participation in this year’s EA Walleye Smackdown. Worst thing is that SalmonRoy (Roy) and Broken String (Bob) are now boatless. Hopefully there are a couple extra spots.

I have been sick with what is near bronchitis since Monday and it is not responding fast enough to the antibiotics I started taking Tuesday for me to think that I am going to be able to make the trip. If I get up and move around for more than about 5 minutes I start coughing badly. Although I could probably handle the fishing, I can’t afford to extend the illness any longer than I have to (and the trip would likely do that) – plus no one else needs to catch what I have. Initially I thought it was just a bad allergy as it started after mowing last Saturday and Sunday, but it got real bad Monday after work and I went to the doctor Tuesday morning.

I’m very sorry. Was really looking forward to this weekend as I know Roy and Bob were too. I hope they still choose to come and can get on a boat to catch some walleye. This just plain sucks.

Ryan

PS: Just called the Comfort Inn and canceled my room for Friday and Saturday nights. Don't know if they were full or not, but one room is available if anyone needs it.

I will take them if they want to come out with salmonhead. I had a couple cancellations for unforseen circumstances so I have openings.
Bob, call me at 616 299 1349. Planning on leaving the dock with everyone else on saturday. I have an Ohio licence also, so you might want to get a 3 day for only $19.

Thanks Paul. I will send a follow up email to Bob and Roy with you're posted phone number -- would call them, but my voice is pretty much gone now too. Did I mention that this sucks

Toledo Beach is exit 9 S. Otter Creek Road. When you get off the freeway head toward the lake (East) and you can't miss the sign for the marina on your right.

I-75 South to Otter Creek Rd - it's like exit 9 or 11 or something like that - just north of Toledo

I have been trying to get a crew together for this event but there is a graduation party in the way saturday at three. So now i am not going to haul the boat since i cant get a crew. I know this is kind of last minute but is there a boat that could use an extra guy saturday and possibly sunday mornings. I am more than willing to help gas. I am going to be without internet access after 4 pm friday so if someone can use me call me on my cell 616-862-2128 or let me know on here before 4 friday.

Paul I will give you a call around lunch time today. Thanks for the offer. Also Ryan mentioned that I might get a chance to ride in a Carolina which is a boat my dad and I are considering buying.

Wow what a weekend.

First I would like to thank the EA group for putting together a first class group and outing.

I would like to thank Paul( Rough Fish Master) for letting me ride on his boat. Was great to fish with Brant(Bradley), Greg, and Bob(broken string). I had a great time on Saturday and the food at the outing was excellent.

I would also like to thank Gary (Offshore Addiction) for filling in for our inconpasitated captian on Sunday morning. He did a great job driving in less than ideal conditions. Greg it was fun dancing around the back of the boat with you.

It was nice to put faces with names from the site. We have a great bunch of people on this site.

Great Fishing, Great People, and Great Weekend.

Thanks
Roy
