Copper Line Depth Chart

At the Grand Haven seminar last weekend, I got a very interesting Copper Line Depth Chart from Pete Prokop of Charlevoix. He gave me permission to post it here on EA. Maybe he will chime in with some information on the methods he used to gather the data.

Thanks to Pete for sharing his information. Very interesting the depth variation between 2.0 and 3.0 mph. I didn't realize how broad the depth range was.

Is copper like leadcore where you have to let it all out or not use it. If you have 660 feet of copper on your reel can you only let out 120 feet of copper or will the line break.

Roy,

I don't think you should put copper in a board release...it's pretty soft. I've seen where guys will splice in 6' sections of mono at different lengths, but I've never done it.

Yeah that is a lot of variance. It has to be due to the large diameter of the copper.
