Big Boards For Mast System

I am going to try a mast set up and would like opinions on boards to use. Also is a rod tree advantageous over single rod holders?

Have you seen the current thread in the Walleye board here titled "Wood Planer Boards", started by BSBA? Some opinions about boards are there.

For big board fishing, I like the rod tubes on the gunwale parallel to one another and closely spaced, it makes comparing the rod tips easier. When fishing inlines with core, I like the tree concept.
