Hit the Maumee last night with Duckdude. On my second cast I landed a spunky 17" jack. Fished for another couple hours with not much to show, then had a nice fish get off just downstream of me at the end. Carolina rigged orange floater w/ black tail on a 15" leader worked for me.

Fish are just starting to push into the river. Saw several fish landed, and several guys walking out with fish when I got down there.

Water is still cold....40 degrees, but the added sun each day will help things tremendously. Water level has come down to a manageable level now, but it's still a bit high for my preference. Should be a good weekend.

congrats on the first eye for ya Clark...

get my pole re-strung and set-up...12 rigs pre-tied...everything ready to go...just need some time to pull the trigger on the river..

were you fishing your usualy high water spot? i am kinda waiting for the jerome road area to get going...

with working 6 days a week and school getting down, lots of papers and exams...seems like i got one every week!!!

hoping to pull the big boat outta the boarn satruday and do a shakedown trip on the lake sunday if the easterly winds die down just a little bit...if nothing else, maybe i will try the maumee...
