Quality not quantity!
I believe the quality of the members and content of the posts here is better than most
The fishing reports are more usable and accurate
And by far the members are much more courteous to each other than some of the other web sites
I have learned a lot about great lakes fishing here and try to pass it on to the next guy when ever I can
This one Still the best site in my book!

You've got that right Frank. Great group of excellent fisherman here that are not hesitant to share information when asked....what more could you want?

The Walleye Smackdown has been a BIG hit the last two years, and I hope more EA's can make it in 2009. We had over 75 attendees last year alone, and hope that 2009 will show another increase.

It's a great time, the fishing is off the hook good, and what better way to meet new people who share the same passions than a group outing.

'09 Walleye Smackdown dates are not set yet. The first two annual events were held during Michigan Free Fishing Weekends in June. For 2009, the DNR has set June 13-14 for that. Whether or not we select that weekend this year is something that the '09 organizers will need to hash out. We'll probably finalize the date some time near the end of '08 with an eye towards avoiding conflicts salmon tourneys if possible.

I hope in '09 some of our fellow members will consider organizing a similar get-together for salmon over on Lake Michigan. I really missed that this year. I know some LD irregulars that would be up for it.

You guys can already count me in as a sponser and participant for 09. I should have a new secret weapon out near the end of this year that will hammer eye's and spring coho. Cant release it yet since the mold is not made yet.

Greg and his crew Did a great job this year promoting the GL2S
They bring a nas car type excitement to the sport.
But unlike nas car we can get out there on the week ends and take a couple laps around the track

Hope to see some of you guys on the water or at least in the chat room
fill the box!
