Anyone know of a good (cheap) outlet to get them? I'm anxious to try a few and see how they compare to J-Plugs.

Josh,

Lyman lures is manufactured in BC Canada.

Their American distributor is Yeck Lures out of Ludington. Call William Yeck at 231-843-2679 and he should be able to help you out.

Just so everyone knows, you can't buy Lymans from Yeck Lure Company direct. I checked. You need to be a reseller and then you need to order at least 6 per color.

The place to get them is Capt. Chuck's in Ludington.

I ordered four of the size 5 Lymans from White's Outdoors out of Spokane, Washington, I think. They are a seriously rugged looking and feeling lure. I changed the hooks right away because I was not at all impressed with them. The paint jobs appear pretty good, but not real fancy. All in all, I think I'm gonna wack some fish with them. Just do a search for White's Outdoors, then under product search, type in "plugs", and their color options should pop up.

If you are into salmon, I use size 4 and never changed the treble hooks, didn't loose a single hit last year. I do all my night fishing with these puppies and never worry about getting snagged or anything. I don't like the paint on the glow because I found after 1 year there was virtually no glow left and had to re-paint with my own glo powder which last 10 ten times longer than a new Lyman.

Josh, in my opinion J-plugs are no way near the value of Lymans, but for the price of a Lyman, they should be better (painted)
