Heard earlier today that some anglers in a small boat died near Sturgeon Bay Saturday and was confirmed. They had a 15-foot boat and were out for walleyes, launching around 10:30 last night off Potawatomi State Park. One of the three, from Watertown, WI, reportedly, swam to shore. Sounded like all three were taken to local hospital, where two were pronounced dead.

Man that is a tragic story for sure. It should be a reminder to everyone that while we love to fish that sensible decisions should be made when concerning the water and fishing. Things are dangerous out there even on a calm day - so stay safe, be smart, and fish another day.
