who is using cut bait on lake michigan?

Who is using it what is your presentation look like ? We are going to give it a try this year was hopeing some of the guys could shorten the learning curve for us

Last year I had the best rusluts with a green glow twinkie rig, and the black/gold Salmon assasin flasher on the #ball rig, or 30' back off a rigger.

I also had good luke with the coho special Oki kingfisher2

THe year before I didnt do much on strips, but whole herring in the bechold baits heads was the way to go. So far this year the twinkie rigs have out fished the whole herring.

Meat is producing well for a # of boats on the Cdn side of lady.O

Hot presentation has been a glo green SD +3 fly rig+ glo teaser head/strip.

Been producing the most off wire divers,mainly dipsy's in the top 50 fow.

Meat doesn't just produce in August

We had a pretty good bait bite when we finally tried it. 11 out of the 13 fish we weighed in at the Gander Mountain Offshore in Ludington were on bait. Large Kingfisher II and Reel Flashers with twinkie rigs and cut strips from Fish On was producing on our deepest 1 or 2 downriggers and on wire divers as well. Clean Meatheads on slide divers and 15 colors of core too. We took fish here and there but didn't get the meat popping until we slowed right down to 1.8-2.2 mph.
