Based on the tragic events of last weekend I’m getting tremendous amount of heat from the “home front” to limit my big lake “solo” adventures to near shore and harbor Browns.

Break out the crankbaits – which leads me to my next question.

Has anyone every looked at the “Precision Trolling”? I guess the 7th edition has depth charts for over a 100 different crankbaits. Just wondering if it’s worth it.

They also have a “Big Lake” Edition for information on dispies, #balls, jet divers, etc.

Pat,

You can't go wrong. We just used our Big Water edition this weekend for the first time and it was great. A priceless tool, in my opinion.

The Big Water Edition is pretty accurate. You can take the Dipsy Diver info and extrapolate it to Slide Divers. The dipsey info in it is pretty much identical with my observations using a slide diver and a GMT-40.

the Big Water edition I just picked up has Slide Diver charts in it - yours doesn't Candyman.

I also have an older version of the none Big Water and it works well for Walleye and early spring silver fish. Seems to be pretty darned accurate.

Both the crankbait and Big Water editions are full of useful information. Two thumbs up.

Yeah Greg, mine has some slide diver charts, but the dipsey charts are much more comprehensive. Looks like the whole book was a LJ collaboration.

Not to be a sales pitch but we have these in stock and we have both books.

I started usig these books way before I got involved in Fishdog and they seem to be the #1 resouce on my boat. If you are running dipsys, lead, wire, snap weights, 1lb balls or any crank bait out there, you NEED this book. it is worth the 45 bucks for both. I have these books at the helm on any given day just to know where I am in the zone. A great book....both of them and you need them both..
