I finally found some Lymans to try. They were at Captain Chuck's in Ludington. With so many color choices and a limited amount of dispoable (hideable ) cash I settled on four patterns. All they had was size 4 and I selected #'s 32, 105, 141 and 158. Has anyone had luck with these colors in size 4 and what other colors would you recommend? Any tips specific to running Lymans? Skeiner? Anyone?

Jim,off the riggers,I like them back 40-50 ft when fishing in the top 50 fow.

They work well off the divers too, with a 8 ft lead.

Just touch up the hook points.

They run well from 1.5-4 mph.

Send em' down..................

105 catches my eye for a mid morning kind of color.

The Lyman plugs are great. To change the action, remove the front treble hook and then replace the rear treble with a larger hook. Compare the difference. Later Doc Dave

Jim do plugs #141 & #158 glow the color of the paint in the picture?

If you don't mind me asking, what did you shell out for either #141 or #158?

LJ only makes green glo paint that I'm aware of, so the LJ j-plug version of the Lyman #141 still glows green & not blue.

I finally located a plug that glows true blue & it's manufactured by Dreamweaver. I had to add my own black ladderback tape though. I bought the Dreamweaver plug at The Outdoorsman in Jenison, but be prepared for sticker shock. These babies run $10 a copy, so if the Lyman #141 really glows blue and is under $10, I'll switch brands.

Love the #158 for night fishing, stripped a Lyman down to the bare wood and applied my own glow powder, made the original Lymans worthless in comparison to my modified Lyman, I'll try to post you a picture.

Skeiner where'd you get the frog and glo frog patterns. I didn't see them on Lyman's color chart. Did you photoshop them or what? I need a couple of those fish killers.
