Using a LJ Six Pack,4-5 ft behind a dipsy, with a trailing small stinger sized spoon,3 ft behind?

Or a Six pack/spoon off a full core?

I'll try it next time out.

never tried it - but it looks interesting ... I wonder about the spacing and if everything will get twisted together - let us know how it runs.

I know Popeye has been slamming them on this in Lake O - usually pulling a polecat Raider in his case.

I'm thinking that a silver bullet or cut plug J would be irresistable behind that rig. Six little baifish spinning and twirling along their merry way and one fat little baitfish struggling to keep up unaware of the imminent danger.

I never got around to trying out that rig,the meat bite was too good through Aug/Sept to bother changing up the spread.

Will try it out in the spring, for those 2-3 yr old kings in close.

Werner did very well(as Winger mentioned)with the raider polecat/6 pack rig.

Can't recall if it was on a full core,or on the copper rig.

I have had very good results with them attached directly to the cannon balls on the outside riggers, with the release on the back of the 6 pack. Usually ran a clean spoon or no.3 j 6 to 10' behind that on one side and a double stacked spoon on the other.Only drawback was the cost of the 6 packs as there longevity being trolled constantly had them failing more then I was willing to part with the $$$$.

Six pacs with Raider Polecat off full core , 1/2 core and copper were hot mid summer. I used a NBK if it was overcast or before first light. I also took some 5' off the rigger with the same. Ridgeback or Shark + six-pac = a good time. A bait head behind the six-pac did take fish but I had more action with the spoons. 2 is pleanty to draw fish in, I loaded up on them 1 day.....lets just say 2 is plenty. I can't wait to run them in the spring off 2 colors. You can still find them if you do a google search for Luhr Jenson six pac schoolies should be around $12.99 a piece. I haven't had any fail maybe it has to do with attaching in line rather than to the ball. 2 of my friends run them on the back of the ball and use a release above the ball without issue.

Don’t be afraid to try them with a spoon run clean off a board. When the salmon and steelies are up high that can sometimes be a crazy good rig.
