changing oils in your boat motors

think of it like muddy water in the puddle out in the street . If you walked out to the mud puddle and scooped up a big glass of muddy water and set it on the window sill for the winter , what do you think would happen to the water in a month or so > well the water turns clear and the mud settles in the bottom of the glass > this is exactly what happens to your engine oil drive oil and transmission oils in your boat .

the point i am trying to make is this. Fall before the boat sits for months is the time to change these oils this way the contaminants that are in the oils are removed while they suspended in the oils and then you leave clean oils sit in there over the winter and there are no contaminants to get stuck to the bottom of the inside of your boat motors just like the glass of muddy water on the window sill if you decide to change your oils in the spring you will have contaminants stuck to the bottom of the glass and the inside of the engine and the stuff will be stuck in there for a long time unless you could get a rag in the bottom of your engine to wipe the contaminants loose but in your engine we cant just put a dish rag in the bottom to clean her out we need to change all these oils in the fall

Have a Great Holiday season!!
