Curt,

Blue top with a natural glow green belly. I'd buy a few and I'm sure Red Rider would buy his share too.

Also, I don't know if you have the capability, but chrome J-plugs have worked much better for me than glows during the day. If you could get some chrome plated and do a bloody nose and maybe a Dr. Death it'd be killer.

Are these balsa, plastic, rattles? They look great! If you will paint old ones I would be interested as well.

Thanks,

Tim

Tim,
They are plastic with 3 rattles in each. I can get old plugs painted for $4 each. We tried painting old plugs and its a real pain to clean them up. I can get you brand new plugs for just a little more without the harness.

Curt, The plugs look awesome. We are bored this weekend, stupid weather messed my river up. Give me a call and we can run over and chew some fat.

Derek i'll give you guys a call.

Josh the closest i've got is the blue firetiger. Thats blue on top with natural glow green on the sides. For some reason the orange stripe on the bottom really sets the plugs off.

New plugs? Did somebody say new plugs??? I love plugs!!! I can't wait to battle test them this year. Nice addition to your line of quality products Curtis!

btw Tinman is the one that told me about his experiments with bead chain hook harnesses.

the origin of bead chain harnesses - is a riddle wrapped in an enigma surrounded by a paradox!

Blue Firetiger will do. I hope you are bringing a truckload of these to Birch Run! Need any super glow Raiders? (hint hint)

Ok thanks Roger (Tinman) I wonder if Roger will post now that he learned it from someone or he is the original.

I'm hoping to have more than enough. The plugs will be painted starting next weekend.

Later,
Curt

You going to be making any Ladderbacks that glow "Green Top, Light Belly, Black Ladderback"

I won't be making any with ladderbacks this year. I will have ladderbacks at the show for those who'd like to add their own. My personal opinion is that the black marks on the side achieve the same result as a ladderback. Thats just my opinion. Others are sure to have their own. They are more than entitled to it.

I think one of the real nice things is the color seperation on our plugs. I think fish can see that break in the colors. For example the Pickle Pickle has a darker and different shade of glow green on the top and bottom. Where the middle has the lighter green creating the seperation. I think contrast is very imortant. If i'm correct these will be the hottest plugs on the lake this year.

Time will tell.

Thanks,
Curt

I'm a big supporter of the contrast theory. Dark on top and lighter underneath is the way most every fish is made. Natural camoflage is what it is. When seen from below the lighter color blends with the surface light and the dark on their backs hide them when seen from above. When a fish is distressed by injury or other cause, it sticks out from the crowd as it shows it's dark side to fish below and it's lighter side to fish above as it struggles with keeping upright. I believe this is one of the things that will trigger a predator to strike.
