How much of a leader??

I fish Walleye and am new to Jets / Dipseys, How much of a "Floro" Leader should I put on after the Dipsey / Jet also how far up from the lure would I put a jet or dipsey?

Well the length of leader is a great debate - however with the size of boat you are fishing I would suggest a leader that with the dipsey and snubber is no longer than the length of the rod. This will allow you to control the fish and net it with the dipsey reeled to the tip, without having to run all over the boat.

Like Greg said, the length of your rod is a great rule of thumb until you gain more experience as to just what you can get away with. An even shorter leader down to 3-6' or so will work better some days than a longer 8-10' one as the diver not only takes your lure down and out, it also doubles as an attractor. Other days they seem to prefer a longer distance from diver to lure.
