The Grand Rapids Chapter of the Michigan Steelheaders have 2 upcomiong events you may be interested in.

First is our Fishing League. It starts on May 6 and continues on a bi weekly basis throught the season. League events will be held on either a Saturday or Sunday morning depending on Chapter contests and league participant schedules. The cost is $20 per boat. A portion of the fee is paid out the day of the event for the heaviest catch (salomon and trout only). The other portion is held for the league end payout. The prizes for the league end payout are for heavest total weight, largest salmon and largest trout. 100% of the money collected will be paid out. You can fish either from Grand Haven or Muskegon with the weigh in being held at Harbour Island launch in Grand Haven.

Second is our annual Big Lake Contest. It is being held on May 19. We fish out of Grand Haven with the weigh in taking place at Rycenga's Marina in Grand Haven. Use the link below for rules and information.

Special Note: The boat owner must be a paid member of the Grand Rapids Chapter of the Michigan Steelheaders to fish in either of these contests.
