i have a 1984 350 mercruiser in my 25'pursuit. it is having starting problems. i seem to have it pinned down to something in what i would think would be a neutral switch'if there is such a thing' i have put on new charged batteries and changed cable ends to the batteries and my depthfinder shows 14+volts. it seems as though if i push my throttle to the right to the neutral position and run it up and down as i turn the ignition it will find a sweet spot and start. i think it is something back by the shifter cable but i am not sure where. anybody's help would be greatly appreciated i hate missing great fishing as my boat sits at the dock. thanks for any response tom
