Furuno has won the awards for the best "small boat" radar. The 1623 is a good unit that Rick has. The 1715 is a much better unit because of the hor. Beeamwidth. Both units will work great but, for an extra $200 the 1715 has 5.2 vs 6.2degrees 1623 and the 1715 has a 7" monitor and the 1623 has the 6". The 1623 has 18nm range and the 1715 has a 24nm range. If you have any questions feel free to give me a call. 1-800-325-7181. Also, both units are in-stock.

Thanks.
Vince
