Unmarked tribal nets have been located north of Muskegon and marked by the DNR.
At the price of fuel, you may not be running this far north - but Greg Patton called with the information and asked that we pass it along. So if you have a means of sending the info along to others that would be fishing the area affected - please do so.
Greg said they were told there were up to 10 possible nets that were left over the winter, some of which have torn apart and parts are floating out there. Greg said they marked the nets they located with staff buoys that have 'DNR' on them.
locations north of Muskegon:
1) 150 feet of water....43' 17.752 86' 29.235

2) 154 feet of water.....43' 18.345 86' 29.657

3) north to Whitehall.....this one might be in pieces 43' 27.906 86' 31.166

4) they were told there was something at this location: 43' 18.073 86' 28.103 but they did not find anything
