If it was me this is what i would consider changing if any of these parts have not been changed in the last year or so
Stone fuel filter on top of the fuel pump (if it has one)
All boots and gimble bearing transom bracket shift cable
Water pump in stern drive
Starter on motor
Spark plugs
Distributor cap
Exhaust boots on exhaust risers in boat
Rear motor mounts
Thermostat on motor
Engine oil and install remote oil filter kit possibly a remote drain kit
Some of these items may not need to be changed but for long term reliability and to make job go smoothly this would be my list not to mention the fact that it’s super easy to take care of this stuff while the motor is out of the boat
i hope its safe to assume the transom bracket is still in the newer boat? If it is all the new part will fit rite on there is no real good reason to mess with it
