Pulled motor today and took the outdrive off.. so far everythings going smooth. Checked out the transom bracket and the one on the parts boat is in better condition (the exhaust boot was wripped and a few other things). Judgeing by the way that the y pipe looks on the parts boat its a low hour or very well maintained engine..i mean hell its been sitting in my yard about 8 yrs.plus if i go through everything ill know its all up to par and sleep better at night. However what i did notice is that.. on the 4.3 that i pulled out of the sevelle its short one wire in the harness. the main harness which is left in the 89 200 cuddy cabin has one more wire i believe its light brow and blue.. any idea what it might be to? the engine im putting in has a slot for it on the engine wire harness but its blank(no contact).. maybe its for a 4 bbl carb because this one is only a 2 bbl and it has an extra sensor or something? What do you think?
