in most cases the recomendation is to hook all accessories to one battery leaving the other in reserve for motor starting with a bypass switch or solonoid that allows you easy jumping capability most of the time a battery isolator is incorporated to charge each batery independantly .
the variables are what the charging rate of the motor or motors would be and the amperage demand of the accesories you are adding . to rig any boat properly this has to figured in. A little math will go a long way in preventing a dead batery leaving you standed .A volt meter becomes a must in the dash board, its ok to have more drain than out put but you have to keep a good reserve to power the motor to get you home most of the newer motors allow for the demands of the newer goodies we are all puting on our boats these days
