While fishing out of Ludinton this past season, we had popped a line off the Ridgeback Rattler and just let go as another RR went off. We landed the king and were about to set the riggers when the line that was "flat-lining" back about 100ft went off with a small king. We are thinking this is neat!! So we (on purpose) started running a couple of long line 15# flat lines with bare spoons back about 100-150 ft. We ended up catching two more fish on those rigs.....nothing fancy, altho' we were using an old spoon made by GW.....his "jointed" spoon. I have caught alot of fish on this type of spoon as it has a pretty neat bit of action all by itself.
