cold water boating safety requires the boat operator to pour some rv type anti freeze in the bilge of your boat . why? well a small amount of ice can form in the bottom of the boat while on the trailer in the yard or even in the garage this small amount of ice will lock up your bilge pump when you need it most . a small amount of anti freeze in the bilge could possibly save your life . not to mention a secondary portable bilge pump with 10' or so of hose and wire with battery clamps attached and stowed in a accessible location . be safe and enjoy the outdoors and our fabulous fishing resource.
