how many of us know every two years or so you are suposed to re seal all transome bolts with new sealer?
this includes motor mount bolts trim tab screws swim platform bolts and screws . with a good grade marine sealer . 100% of the people that have had transome rot now know this . you dont have to wait till your transome has rot problems to find out ! OUCH!!$$$$
just take one screw or bolt out at a time scrape as much of the old sealer off as posible put some fresh stuff on the bolts and re install! spend the saved money on MORE FISHING!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
