fishin fool,
Like puckstop, I am not an expert. I do catch plenty of fish on FF rigs. Lots of guys including myself will match Flashers and Flies. However, lots of times fish like the colors differently. Like a white fly on a green flasher. Or take the mirage fly. what does that match? Last year a good rig was a purple mirage fly behind a green flasher? doesnt match, but it worked in low light. I have noticed my blue rigs work better during low light in the morning or evening, and the greens seem to work better in the sun. White seems to just always work, but especially the 11" white in the dirty river mouth water. Basically if you have a selection of white, green, blue and black flashers and blue, green, white, black, mirage flies, you will catch fish on them. Mix it up and see what happens. you might come out with the new best combo.
