On Friday, March 24, from approximately 9am-2pm, the DNR shocking boat will be working between Croton and Thornapple on the Muskegon River, doing a steelhead/domestic trout survey, and checking the status of the Walleye. It is most likely that the egg take operations will not get under way until the week of April 3.

More info will be posted here after checking the status of the walleye . If you prefer to avoid the waters that are being surveyed, then either below Thornapple or before 9 am is your best bet.
