Tonights the night for buffing and waxing - we are using the Maguires buffing compound and wax all in one - did a little test on the transom last night - it's going to look awesome. Especially with the shiny new stainless through-hulls....

Are we waxing tonight or are we testing the water-tightness of the new thru-hulls...from the inside? At the rate it's raining here, we won't have to wait long before the cockpit is completely full of water.

I'm hoping we time it just right to wash it down and get it back in the shop in between the big storms ...plus I figured you wanted to test your raingear

Well we didn't get to wax anything tonight but we did clean the heck out of Water Hazard - went at it with the cleanser and got rid of the badger soot. Got most of the marks off of her, we got the hull ready for buffing and wax... Whaler and h2ohazard scrubbed the deck, hardtop, all the tower, and I got most of the bionic gunk off the props... Got a ton done - important safety tip: when a cleaning product suggests wearing gloves - wear them!

Gotta love that Bar Keeper's Friend...that stuff rules! I think we took 50 lbs. of bugs off the hardtop and the raydome. It will probably up our top speed and improve our fuel economy. Once we wax the hull, we should be able to hit 80...at least on the freeway.
