Fishing continues to be stable in Muskegon. The morning trip we picked away at the fish and ended with a respectable 9 boated from 11 bites.
We found the fish in 200-240 fow in the fog. Leadcore and copper did most the lifting for us taking all but 3 of the bites. Only one bite on the seamist Horse Fly, all the rest on Northport Nailer spoons. We found a few steelhead on top and they bit Orange Ice (41) 3 times off the 3 color. Prototype Natural Born Hornet took 3 bites on the 300 copper and the remaining bites were on Orange candy corn (38), Greenberry glow (18) and lime ice (42).

The afternoon trip was much the same. After a slow start, we found fish slightly shallower than the morning run in 180-150 fow.We finished with 11 in the box and one undersized lake trout from 15 bites. Seaweed Horse Fly took 3 bites and Sea Mist took 1 set deep on the wire divers behind 8" E chip flashers. Spoons took the rest. No clear winners with the bites being spread out between Mashed bannana (11), Mashed bannana glow (12), Sunfire (69), Greenberry glow (18), Lime ice (42), Orange Ice (41), lemonfire glow (76), Natural Born Hornet (prototype), and the Wild Thing in #33.

The fish were a mixed bag with one steelhead, 4 lakers and the rest kings.

sounds like a great day on the water! i would be interested in knowing the manufacuture of the spoons you are using listed below if that is not confidential. i thought they were Nailer spoons but i cannot find any of those names in the brochure? i would just like to see the picture of the colors so i can match up with my stingers and dreamweaver spoons.

great reports, i look forward to reading your comments each week, so hopefully i can send a charter your way!

thanks,

You can find most of the spoons listed in the report on the Magna Dyne site.

yeah, like wingnnut said, they are Northport Nailer spoons produced by MagnaDyne. Some colors are similar to several other brands, but some are also unique to MagnaDyne.

Check out their site at http://www.northportnailer.com/store/index.php

let me know if you have questions.
