Went out on a trip Monday 11/3 and boy was it a perfect day. slight 2-4 chop/whitewater and warm. left the dock at 7:30 headed for the promise land offshore and saw fish and birds jumping in like 50fow so I stoped and 5hrs later we had 14 steelhead and lost 14+ from the mud to out to about 100fow. also got a 15lb+ laker that had to go back, DEAD(hate that stupid rule) on a high diver on 3 big ring back 40ft. NEVER SAW, LANDED, HIT, OR RELEASED A KING?where did they all go? should have at least had some dinks, 2-3yr olds, etc.??? Most of the fish cae on flat lines behind boards, 3 colors, and 5 color. Had to rigger hits 30 and 115 down on the free sliders. Most of the fish came on VERY SMALL spoons like, Stinger Scorpions and mini Silver Streaks. The best bait by far was the tangerine and gold chicken wing scorpion by stringer on a flat line 30-50ft behind the board. All in all it was a great day on the pond! now the marina has shut off the water, power, and bathrooms. they want me out by the end of the week so they can close down!!! Thats the bummer!! boat comes out tomarrow or Friday!
See you on the lake the 1st week of April!
