I am going to rig a few Tekota 800 with copper and need some help. The plan is to use 30# mono as a backer with using 300' of 30# and 45# copper. Without running the line from one reel to another does any one know how many yards to use on each setup? Thanks for any help.

I put on 650 ft of 30# mono on a tekota 800 with 40# copper and it filled up good enough for me but could have put on another 50 ft of mono and been filled to the limit.650 ft of 30#almost filled a sg47lc reel to the top that is what i used to meter the mono. HOPE this helps!!! MAGNUM LURE!!!

Tom, Outdoorsmen should know that. They have rigged alot of copper rigs. Give them a shout at 616 457-3630 and ask for Nate or Grayson. I think Nate is the one that spools most of the reels.
