I have a tiara fiberglass boat and the badge gel coat on the sides looks blotchy. I have buffed and polished it out and it has a very shiny and smooth finish it just looks blotchy and I don’t know if wet sanding it and then buffing it will help the situation or just make it worst. I hate to paint it because the gel coat id in good shape except for the blotchy spots.
I hope I posted this in the right place. This sight is great and every time I get on here I find something new that I didn’t know about. Thanks any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Mike

Hey Mike
jel coat has the color in it. It is only about .060- 0.080 thick
every time we buff it we take off a little yours is probably getting a little thin . might have had a little thin spots in it from day one . jel can be sprayed on but the colors are hard to match and blend in . it can be done by a good glass guy
i agree not the best choice to paint .
should get a good glass guy to have a look at it
let us know how it goes
thanks for posting
FRANK
