fished the east side for the holiday weekend. Fishing was pretty steady. Friday - fished straight out from the river in about 100' took 15 pinks, 1 steelie (9lbs), 1 king(13lbs), and 9 lake trout averaging about 8lbs. Saturday fished the same area tried to target the salmon a bit more with no luck, managed 12 pinks, 12 lake trout(about a 9lb average), and 1 steelie(6lbs). Sunday kicked the speed up to stay away from the lake trout all together and try and find some steelhead, only managed 1(7lbs), 15 more pinks, and 3 lake trout. the pinks were coming in the top 25' for the most part. steelies on flat lines. ran a mix of orange superslim spoons on all the high lines (orange sparkle being the best of the bunch). lake trout were coming up off the bottom didn't seem to matter to much what we put down there. 10'' white double crush spin doctor with a pickle sunshine was pretty consistent. so was the superslim spoon hot lemon cheated above it. the king took a super slim hot veggie on a 225' copper setup. there were a few kings being picked up mostly around the 5lb range. fish were healthy, hopefully things are headed back in the right direction.

Hey Lance nice job on the fish

When we ran through that area on Sunday morning I marked a lot of fish and bait in 60' of water. Any idea of what they were? I was thinking walleyes but didnt stop to check.

Hey nice job on the fish. Sounds like you were busy out there! Were there any size to the pinks???? I know they are relatively smaller, but just curious.....

pinks were about 1lb (around 20inches). pretty sure they were smelt and whatever was eating them. lake trout mainly i would guess. a buddy of mine did get a 5lb king in 65' of water on saturday. but i wouldn't think there were many of them. but most the lakers have quite a few smelt in there bellies. so i would assume thats what they were.
