All Points Bulletin:
Calling all boats. Be on the lookout for the elusive schools of baitfish in Lake Huron. If you have spotted them last season or should happen to discover their whereabouts this year please advise.

I received an e-mail last fall that gave me a tip that there were large schools of bait way offshore out from the Oscoda/Tawas area. I wonder if the salmon didn't spend the year out in the middle of the lake. I know a lot of them swam around to the Manistee/Ludington area to where there was food but I'm curious if silver fish couldn't have been had out in the middle of the lake. Since the zebra mussels have a preferred depth range and the quagga mussels are deeper but still have a maximum depth, maybe the water over the deeper portions is more fertile.
