We Launched at Sterling St. Park about 1:30 p.m. and drove East of Stony Point to 26 ft. We trolled dipsys and spoons. A West wind was forecasted but it blew from the East all afternoon (typical). Waves were only about a foot. The temperature was 92 deg. We caught 4 fish in the first hour and then hit a lull. we caught one more in the next three hours but missed several right at the boat. They were biting extremely light as the lure was also popping out of the fish we did land as soon we got them in the boat. My son and his buddy were the crew. We took two more in the last hour or so and missed a few more. No sheep. We had only a few silver bass and no bugs. We ended up with 7 walleye and easily missed that many more right at the boat. Oh well. The one surprise - a 14 inch steelhead that we released! We checked with several anglers on the radio and at the launch - everyone hit the lull during the hot flat afternoon and 7 fish was pretty good compared to most. We fished in Michigan the whole time. The only exception was "Little Dandy" who boated 14 Ohio fish! Way to go Mike!
