Any body have some advice for Sat or Sunday? I have had terriable luck the last week or so. Going out Sat afternoon with a couple of guys who do not have Ohio tags. Planned on running to the state line and trolling with disc and spoons. Is it just the rain/mayflies or is there some little piece of luck I am missing?

Based on a report by Fisheye330 on the 'swamp' thread, they had some decent luck in 15FOW by luna pier on Tots. Sounds like there are some fish in shallow.

One plan would be to launch at Bolles Harbor and go out to 14-16'. Then troll S along the shoreline to LP. If you pick some up stay in the area. If not, when you get near Turtle Island, go to your original plan and troll the state line area looking for deeper fish.

We've been fishing OH water either near the Maumee channel or out N of WSI the last several weeks. So the above just something to think about. Good luck and please post a report when you get back. We may get out on Sunday.

First time poster, but have been reading the reports for awhile. Thanks to all, for all of the reports. Here is my input, we were hammering fish 10 days ago on meat, at the line out from sterling, fishing purple harnesses back 15-20 of off inlines. 5 days ago it was the exact same program. Sorry if it wasn't too detailed, it is my first time here.

Thanks for the reports and welcome aboard. That area was smoking hot 2 - 3 weeks ago. It slowed a little but there have been some good reports still. In a cool summer the fish will be there all summer. Just have to dodge the weeds and hope for west winds to keep that area clean. Keep us posted!

Steve

we didn't do much better in the swamp today. caught 3 on rebel craws 110ft.back off the boards in 14f.o.w. lost 2 nice ones close to the boat and caught 4 nice perch.2.2-2.4mph. we didnt do bad on the"peaser"scale though. P.O.M.P.G. (pounds of meat per gallon).with gas prices what they are, this may be more important than the old F.P.R.P.H. scale. we were .125 on that scale but were over one pound per gallon thanks to our first and biggest eye. the fact we put in at luna pier and only had to run 1 mile didn't hurt either. will keep you guys posted on the swamp as we will continue to check it when we go out.

GOOD FISHIN,

D

Lady Bridge didn't make it out on the lake this weekend but can report from friends.

Saturday a charter buddy did good NW of North Bass near the Canadian Line. He had 25 walleye before the storms came through, not sure how he finished.

Sunday a friend trolled near McDonalds and caught some perch and junk but no walleye. Made it to the dock just before some downpours.

I'll be out over the 4th weekend.

Bad weather Sat morning caused my two buddies to bail. Did manage to talk my two teenage daughters into going out late Sat, about 5:00.
We are docked in Gibralter and the waves were approaching 3 feet so we only made it just south Fermi. Started trolling back to the north in 12-14 fow, three hot-n-tots (all I had) and one disc and spoon. Hot-n-tots never got anything, at the end We had two spoons, one reef runner and one h-n-t. Caught silvers and sheep on everything, no eyes.

My girls suggested I just say I am trying to catch silvers and I'll always be successful...... just like their mother. All in all we had a good time.
