Started out at 48 08 around noon . Trolled blades 1 to 1,4. mph headed north > Pulled lines around 5:30 with 18 eyes, 3 Sheeps, 3 White bass and 2 perch. Fish ranged from 28 to 17 inches. Confusion, Pinks and purples did the job. Very hot bring lots of water , fishing matched the weather. Missed quite of few fish ( first timer on board)Ran four in line boards, one lead core and one bottom bouncer. All caught fish . Boards were run 50 to 70 feet back with 2.oz in line weight Good luck Rick

Way to go Rick and thanks for the on the water report.

We were into a lot of by-catch by Stoney Pt. when we talked to you. After we moved, it was mostly walleyes. No big ones for us though. Did you weigh the 28"er?

Mike, I was going to but I was out with two rookies and I was real busy. That fish came on the first rod I set before I could set my second rod. Then we had a double right after that which we missed both and I got side tracked. It was very healthy fat fish. I should have you told you on the water to fish south of my postion because I was at the end of my troll. I wasn't thinking the heat and the flys were getting the better of me. Sounds like you did pretty well.

We had a good day. We sure could have used that 28"er for last Saturday's FWT though

I'll be taking a group of guys out saturday morning, hopefully the storms hold off.

What channel are most EA guys monitoring? I'm normally on 79 but maybe I should be listening to a different channel.

I'll probably be in the West Sister area.

LadyBridge, I had seen Anger's "Fishing Today" thread where he said he was going out around noon and would be on 68. Since I didn't have his cell number and he had a good 4 or 5 hour head start on us, I figured I'd give him a shout over the air and see how they were doing. We called them when we hit the water from just outside TBM but they must not have heard. We called again when we got to Stoney Pt. and got his report report then, plus he called back about half hour later indicating they finished up. Generally I don't monitor any particular channel other than 16. Usually there's too much going on while fishing to be talking on the radio much and I find a lot of the idle chatter to be very annoying. To paraphrase Clark on another post somewhere: "Can I get a radio check?", "Loud & Clear", "You catching any fish"... and Clark went on and on about trollers, drifters and a bunch of other subjects in his sterotypical hyperthetical radio conversation in a long humorous post. Where was that anyway Clark?

(edited for spelling, once so far )

That post was on Michigan Sportsman...lol

"Can I get a radio check on 6-8???"

"Loud and clear radio check..."

"You guys doin' any good out there?"

"Yup...we're slayin' 'em...got us 8 in 4 hours...pretty steady..."

"Where ya'll at?"

"By that big green can..we can see one of the Sister islands..not sure which one..."

"Daggum...I know right where you are at...you throwin' crawlers or trollin'...?"

"Aw man...we don't know nuttin' about no trollin'..and anyways...as a wise man once told me..."those who cannot fish...troll""

"You got that right big Daddy...how's the Old Milwaukee goin' down?"

"Purt near perfect...git on out here...and by the way, your radio sounds great! Did ya' get it at Wal Mart?"

"Nope...I went up-town to the Radio Shack!"

And on....and on...eventually the conversation will last long enough to hear yet another beer opening...with the occasional call of "I GOT ONE!!" in the background....to be followed by..."HAHAHAAA....BAAAAAAAAAHH!!"

LOL

Just joking around...of course...
