On the water at 12:30 laid down about a mile south of the Sputnick. Lots of weeds so had to to give up the jetdivers and went with all bottom bouncers and dipseys. Put 20 in the box beofre running out of meat. Color was not an issue with us but speed keep the junk fish off. Stayed at 1.9 to 2.2 Going again again maybe Sun.

Double Easy, Ya your right the weeds were bad on Tuesday by Sputnik but its that time of year. Good job on the fishin. I hear the bite over there is still on the strong side.
Anger, Tuesday we seen a log about the size of a telephone pole just under the water, ran between our boat and big board, didn't mess anything up.

Glad to hear someone was having luck Thursday. I went out to some coordinates that Cantgetenough was kind enough to provide and found everyone else had the same coordinates as well. We had four guys on the boat landed 3 eyes from 1030 - 1730. Trolled harnesses with 1 oz inline weights at 1mph (GPS) on boards with tattle tails. Had a tough time keeping the sheep and weeds off the lines. After the batteries died in the trolling motor we tried dipseys with spoons at 110' and 2.2 - 2.8 (big motor)and had no luck. Had to keep pulling the lines to remobe the weeds. Now 0 fish for 4 trips with the spoons. Open for suggestions and or help!

if you were in 30' ft of water maybe you didn't get down deep enough. we were n.w. of west sister fri. and found the eyes were deep and the silvers were up. we used 40 jets and the big dipsy's to get down to them. while we didn't do much better, we took all 5 keepers on spoons down almost in the dirt. your speed sounds o.k. but don't give up on the spoons. i was a meat slinger until i started trolling this year and couldn't believe how productive trolling spoons can be. keep checking with the guys on this site. they'll answer any questions no matter how simple or trivial it may be(believe me i know firsthand). this site has helped peaser and me tremendously and can't thank these guys enough.
DON'T GIVE UP ON THE SPOONS!!! if anything, take only spoons out next time and make yourself use them to catch fish. you'll never learn to use them effectively if you don't make them your primary method(at least until you have it down pat).
GOOD FISHIN,

D, Thanks, maybe I'll try only spoons nest time but it's hard to go back to them each time when you haven't caught one on them after four trips. At least with harnesses I can catch something even if it is a sheep head! John

you'll still get some sheep, silvers and maybe even some perch on the spoons. we just started trolling them (spoons) this year and have our system down great. we just need a bigger boat with auto-pilot so we don't have to have one guy sawing on the wheel all day long. working on the boat thing now. we have had decent results almost every time out. if you find feeding fish, you will catch them on spoons. don't give up on them. almost everyone on this site i talk to trolls spoons.
set them out at varying depths until you find what works. peaser and myself run one board out and have 3 dipsy's on it. we vary the depths on these 3 and leave them alone for the most part. we run one large dipsy down and out off the other side and play with it constantly. deeper, shallower, change spoons etc. keep changing it up until you get some in the box. it is important to remember how far back all the rods are. we like to use doubles because it's easy to remember. 66', 77' and 88' etc.
hope this helps. we don't even take worms with us.
GOOD FISHIN,
D
