Fished for walleye on saturday and had one of my best days ever. Fished the 30/30 spot and caught our 3 man limit. Biggest was just over 9 pounds and had 5 that were over 7 pounds. Spoons behind jet 40's back 140' and #1 dipsy back 75, # 2 back 85. We also caught a 18" musky.

Sunday I went to my same coordinates and couldn't catch a fish. I got a report that fish were 8 miles east but I continued to try my spot since I had good marks. Finally I ran east and was able to put some walleye in the box. Finished with just nine walleye and biggest was around 5 pounds. Some guys were catching the walleye high, jet 20's back 25'. I couldn't get anything high.

Great job Rick! I just put my boat away for the year on Saturday I still haven't been feeling good since the Vermillion tournament and haven't been out. Good to see that your still getting them.

Bob,

That sucks that your still not feeling good and also that your boat is put away.

I'll likely have room next weekend if the weather cooperates. You have my cell.

Reel Naughty got into them pretty good on Sunday. Sunday was like a hot summer day out there. Lots of green algae.

Just a few (?) more months and it will be time for EA Walleye Smackdown 2009.
