Things change and not all ways for the best . For example the oar boats carrying iron oar to the steel mills along the south end of the lake here DO NOT cary plain old iron oar "or rock" any more and have not for the last 15 years or so. the stuff they put in the steel mill furnaces is now FLUX pellets . Its a fancy mixture of stuff the least harmfull to the enviorment is the iron oar . and if you fish in the ship chanel by the steel mills and you see oil or some other discusting stuff coming out of one of thier discharges and decide to report it to the EPA. you probably will be chased from the area by the coast gaurd for obstructing comercial traffic even though there is no comercial traffic in sight . just a big old greasy slick of goo coming out of some politically connected industry. Not to mention the hammond marina being closed for a whole season or may be more to acomadate the gambling boat and who cares about the boaters that paid to have the marina put in in the first place before the gambling boat was legal and again filling the politicians pockets with money
But What the hell lets make lead core fishing line A Crime.
