Why didn't I think of that! I read this in another sportfishing magazine. To charge glow lures, take an old (or new) cheap syrofoam cooler or minnow bucket and cut a hole in the cover that is big enough to hold a small halogen flash light. Your lures can be hung on the inside of the bucket and the flashlight will be held inside the cover. You can be charging as you drive to the lake or as you head out in the morning. They should be nice and toasty when you get to ready to send 'em down.

Maybe something worth trying.

...or just hang a glow stick in front of the spoon

Good tip Pat! Flatrate has taken it a step farther. He has taken a plastic case like you might keep electronics or pistols in and mounted a 12v fluorescent light to the inside cover. Plug it into your ciggy lighter on the way to the lake or in your boat 12v outlet and they have that fresh from Three Mile Island glow to them.

Great idea! I like these high-tech ideas better! I have an adapter in my truck of course and I have an adaptor on my boat for spotlights, GPS, cell phone, etc.. I'm going to see what I can cook up. (no pun intended)

I did hear that black lights work better - no idea why.

Got to see Rick's idea first hand and it worked awsome no more wait a minute I've got to get the flash ready. These were ready to go when you needed them.
