Hello fellow anglers!

I have been boating and fishing Lake Michigan fo ra good many years. Currently keep my boat at Great Lakes Marina in Muskegon. I run a 33' Carver Voyager. Gas prices have reduced the number of outings for me so far this year, but I'm hoping to get out more often as the fish become more active.

I am hoping to find and possibly share some fishing tips and tactics here. I am also looking for any helpful information regarding running charters. I am currently awaiting the status of my OUPV license from the wonderfully efficient and speedy folks at Homeland Security.

Welcome aboard.

You have great timing as this weekend is the Muskegon Sportfishing Association Tournament out of Great Lakes Marina. There will be a number of anglers around and several charter captains. If your not fishing the tournament yourself consider being an observer. It's a great way to get out on Pro boat or a top Am boat, meet some fellow anglers and see how they do it.

I'll be around starting Thursday evening working with the weigh-in and scoring. Stop by and introduce yourself.

Welcome aboard, Water Ratz!

Paul (Salmonhead) keeps his boat at Pointe Marina, across Muskegon Lake from Great Lakes. He runs a 25' Carolina Classic. I'm sure you will see him on the water often.

Tom

Welcome aboard. I am in Muskegon at Pointe and only half the rumors are true. (the good ones). ALso in our marina you will find, Saint (Vinnie), Moonlighter (Kevin), Wound Up (Scott), Theresa Ann (Dick), Late Arrival (Bob), KC-1 (Jason), Barbara Rose (Art) all charter boats. Also Steve Huff has a 23' Proline and he is a very good fisherman also. Lots of talent in the area. Also several other good fisherman at other marinas, like Run N Gun and Kings Around.
Talk to you soon. I have a double on Saturday the 19th, so I will be out there all day.
Paul
