LD (and others), Hope your crew didn't lead you into another storm. A nasty one with a possible tornado just went through west Toledo. Should be over the western basin pretty soon.

There do seem to be a lot of afternoon storms the last several weeks, eh? La Nina??? There is some wild looking stuff on the radar right now. I'm sure glad we're not out there. Next trip is Thursday for us.

I was watching the Weather Channel the other night and the guy on there (Cantore?) was explaining why the Midwest was being impacted with all of these continual storms week after week.

Basically..we have a weakening La Nina that keeps moving the Jet Stream up and down through the Midwest. As it does this, it pulls humid, moist air up from the Gulf, which then collides with the cooler air that is hanging around in lower Canada.

Every time the Jet moves north, we get the same thing. It has been happening since December, which explains the record snows we all experienced this winter.
