well, peaser and i made it over to the pack of boats n.w. of west sister and had mixed results. we trolled west into, around and thru a large pack approximately where rick told me he did well thurs.(thanks rick). no takers there so we slid east away from the pack to a spot north of west sister where we marked fish. found a very small school and took one on the first pass and a double on the second. caught 2 more stragglers in the general area before we were blown off by 3-5 footers. caught maybe 8 or 10 spikes and a couple silvers but the most annoying thing was the cabbage!!! lost a 40 jet and a couple of stingers to massive gobs of that crap. when we were trolling around the large pack of casters we did not see many fish being caught and 4 or 5 of them moved over into our spot as we tried to turn for another pass. all in all another enjoyable day on the lake(and not at work). thanks again peaser! we don't even want to think about the peaser scale today!(lbs. of fillets divided by gallons of gas)

i would provide gps #'s but without autopilot, and 3-5' waves in a 19' searay, our course looked like a crack addict was playing with an etch-a-sketch.

thanks again to rick for pointing the way and peaser for a great day on the lake.

rick, like you said, they move. u put us right where the boats were. they were right on the numbers you gave me to start at and there were alot of them. probably 60-80 boats. most of them drifting and casting meat. we didn't see them catch very many either. if we had a bigger boat we would have stayed out longer and probably had our limit. it was real hard to control when the wind kicked up and we lost 1 or 2 in a tangled mess where we had to pull everything in and start over.
actually it was a pretty enjoyable day. thanks again for pointing the way.

We trolled spoons with 40' jet divers (note, I use fireline), and we set them anywhere from 65' to 100' back. Blueberry Muffin caught the smaller walleyes and the solid copper took two nice fish. The rest of the fish were on mixed veggies, etc. Thanks Rick for helping us out! You (Rick) should have seen Doug sawing on that steering wheel, he had his hands full keeping a straight line! A golf clap for Doug...........
