Just wanted to share with you one of the fish we caught today 8/19/08! The fish bit @ 8:30am! It was caught by my 17yr old charter customer Adam. The fish bit on a Captain Gary's custom 8"protrol in the Blue Bubble pattern with a Rapture Fly Blue Fern. The fish's official weight was 29lb 8 oz. @ 1pm today. It lost lots of blood on the deck after we netted it and by the length and girth measurements it has been determined that it was over 30lbs...(I feel closer to 32lb's) at the time of capture!

If this does not get your blood pumping for the fall run I don't know what will! So, if you need a fall trip please give me a call.

Thanks,
THE SAINT

Very nice fish. I have heard of a couple around #26 up here in Frankfort but no 30's yet. Hope those pigs move up this way.

Lots Rob!! I love catching big kings!!! And just think in about 3-4 weeks we'll have them all right where we like them. I would not be suprised if one of us gets another over 30 in Muskegon this fall, when I've get them all trapped in the little lake!

Thanks

Mike, fish been from 85-150 right down on the bottom after the sun comes up. Try running large flashers with blue flies 10ft off the bottom and lead cores from 14-20 colors and 300 and 450 copper. Blues seem to be the hottest set up and we've been running lots of plugs on the cores and coppers because those fish are so far out of temp. Hope that helps! Good luck and we'll see you out there.

thanks vinnie,
You know, that fish would look a lot bigger if you got a smaller person to hold it for the picture. Looks like a 15 lber! If you get another one give Hobie a call for the photo shoot.

Combat fishing in Muskegon is a blast. Its always fun to have someone saying they are going to kill you over a 5 dollar bait!

My slip might not be up for rent next year. I will not go up river so I might be back in MKG for 09?
