Made the last trip on the year on Sat. Went ten miles SE of the Harbor and did pretty well. Had our tickets before 11:00 and then switched over to perch and scored zero of the little buggers. No one was even fishing for them.

#1 40 back, #3 80 back, slide diver on 5 120 back. Riggers 35 down and 7/8 colors of lead.

Overall a good year for us up north. Took second in the Derby, landed a 13.2lbr, and put over 150 fish in the boat.

Cant wait until next year.

I'm headed there on 9/6 for the weekend. Hope to catch some steelies and walleye. Can you provide any specifics??

straight out to SE about 10 miles....58 19 lines? i think and head towards windmills 04 20 lines? JD will verify....

or head down towards windmills...

thermocline was about 35-40 feet...i hope this big blow dont turn the water over, or they will be on the big move east!

we put our baits about 25-35 and had our success....

anything orange caught fish...jerry lee, sister sludge, hawg wild, double orange crush, steelie stomper.......

riggers at 28-35 with sliders both caught fish
6 and 8 colors of lead was good, 8 being best
slide divers back 125 did well
#1 big dipsey back 45 has been great as year

Don - i hate to say this, but you might wanna save your time and money....The water turned over Wednesday and no fish have been caught since.

Buddy went over today and usually limits out and only caught 3 walleye...sorry for the bad news....

the entire western basin is tore up right now...
