I haven't fished out of Grand Haven on Lake Michigan - the boat is wintering at Kennan's in Spring Lake just trying to plan for next year early for Salmon. Just wondering where to fish out of Grand Haven or further south in ealry April? Any help would be appreciated.

St. Joe and South Haven was really good to us last year in April and early May for nice kings , don't know how far south from Gand Haven you would need to go to get into the same action. Every year is a lttile different though.

Yeah I'm looking forward to workin the southern waters for a couple of weeks before heading up to Ludington - don't want to miss too much of the brown fishing up there. But it would be fun to get into the Kings early instead of waiting for them to show up in Ludington ... I'll be moving from Royal Oak to Fruitport (Spring Lake) over the winter so I'm pretty excited to be closer to the big water.

Good deal , I wish I could live over on that side of the state as well , would be able to fish earlier and later into the season.
