Changing hooks on cranks

Been reading for a long time that many guys change out the standard trebles that come on cranks for heavier versions more appropriate for salmonoids. What make/size are you using, and have you noticed any difference in the action of the lure with the "heavier" hooks??

I have a bunch of cranks that can run double duty for walleyes and salmonoids, but I don't want to screw up the action, particularly with the Reef Runners and Rapala Taildancers in my box.

Thanks!
