After hearing several good perch reports out of Holland I tried for 3 hours this evening, first a mile south of the pierheads then just north of Spyglass. We stayed pretty much in 30-40 fow using perch flyrigs tipped with minnows, but only caught a handful of small perchies, except for one 12" jumbo. I knew it would be tough when a guy coming off the water at the ramp said that he got skunked, but we tried anyhow. Not sure if it was just today, but it was slow perch-jerking for everyone out there. I never did locate a big school on my graph, although I spent a great deal of time searching. Maybe I'll try South Haven next time.
