It has been an extremely busy off season for the Educated Angler team and many of us have been burning the candle at both ends and the in middle on some days.  The culmination of these efforts has been the launch of the GL2S (Great Lakes Salmon Series).  When we originally launched Educated Angler we had also always wanted to do a high profile tournament series for the salmon and trout anglers on the Great Lakes.

You’ll see many new items on the EA homepage relating to what has been happening with GL2S and EA but I will cover a few important points here:

• GL2S is an effort to raise the profile, and with it purses, of Great Lakes salmon and trout tournaments
• GL2S has merged with the existing Tournament Trail on Lake Michigan to avoid conflicts and confusion
• GL2S has launched the Huntington GL2S Championship Point Series for 2008
• GL2S has launched a full web community www.gl2s.com
• GL2S events will remain Pro/Am
• GL2S means media exposure with TV, Radio, and Online

Also, we have redesigned the Experience Outdoors www.experienceoutdoors.org website and a new version of Educated Angler is close behind.
